Paani Foundation drive

Paani Foundation drive

PMI Pune Deccan India Chapter in association with Paani Foundation (NGO) joined hands to develop the watersheds in rural India. 140 members of PMI Pune Chapter member volunteers participated in the event. Project has delivered 48CCT of trenches were built to store the 480,000 litre of rain water. (Paani Foundation is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that is active in the area of drought prevention and watershed management in the state of Maharashtra, India.) The most interesting part of this drive was the Agile Project management framework that was followed – there was a product owner, a scrum team, planned sprints, agile ceremonies & a timely approach to the hours clocked in. Along with a refreshed style to use scrum, this activity had impacts like – 560 hours of Shramdaan (Voluntary Labour), water storage capacity of 48K litres was created, 48K litres was the estimate for each year and this was the water freely available to the villagers every year.

Thanking you all for your donation and support!
