Motivation to Volunteer:
My motivation to volunteer with the PMI Pune Chapter stemmed from the diverse events offered. The continuous activities provided an excellent platform for professional development.
Takeaway as a Volunteer:
The coordination work inherent in volunteering was a rich learning experience, particularly in developing invaluable leadership skills applicable in professional settings.
Accomplishments as a Volunteer:
Served as AVP Programs, managing the backend coordination of speakers for the chapter’s monthly events, contributing significantly to the seamless execution of these gatherings.
Challenges Faced:
A consistent challenge in volunteer work was the scarcity of reliable help. Balancing personal commitments alongside volunteer responsibilities was also demanding.
Skills and Strengths Utilized:
Leveraged strong coordination and people skills. Emphasized clear objective setting, use of project management tools, and flexibility to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Other Volunteer Experience:
Engaged with Toastmasters, a platform focused on public speaking and leadership development, fostering a holistic skill set.
Knowledge of the Organization:
A long-standing association with PMI Pune Chapter since 2011 due to being a PMP certified professional. Admires the chapter’s commitment to fostering professional growth.
